The focal theme of this Report is the distributional aspects of SME development. It examines India's labour market behaviour in relation to approaches and strategies towards self employment and entrepreneurship creation. The picture, as on today, has been examined in relation to historical data on public programs and their outcomes. The study also brings out the aspect of diversity, in relation to regional patterns of MSME development as well as subsector experience.
