While most countries of the world focus substantially on business birth in policy and practice today, the focus of this report is to critically examine India's experience relating to business demography, both from the angle of policy and practice. It examines the various aspects of business birth, labour market behaviour, start-up boom, as also the relatively less explored areas such as social enterprises. MSMER 2015 also reviews the current trends in MSME finance and credit delivery systems, and their implications.
