Quick Overview

This Report has been written against the background of the Twelfth Five Year Plan. SME finance and trade and outward orientation forms the focal themes of the Report. With the other two editors, Ram Venu Prasad from the Commonwealth Secretariat and S. Sridhar, from the Central Bank of India, the Editors take a special effort on two striking global issues of SME development: a) Youth and enterprise; and b)Women entrepreneurship. These issues were extensively debated at the Commonwealth SME Competitiveness Conference, held at Bangalore, where this Report was released.
